Treating Bucheimer products?

We recommend that you treat all of our products made from vegetable-tanned leather. You'll want to use a rag to wipe the conditioner onto the leather and then remove any excess. Sunlight will aid in developing a nice patina on the vegetable-tanned leather.

 

Kudu Leather products should not be treated with any cream or oil, as it will patina with its natural oils.

 

What type of conditioner do you recommend?

For bags and belts, the type of conditioner we recommend using Chamberlin's Leather Milk: Leather Care Liniment No. 1 leather conditioner often, for a quick, effective, cleaning and revitalizing result. Leather Care Liniment No. 1 leather conditioner is a combination of rich, natural leather conditioners plus a gentle leather cleaner. Leather Care Liniment No. 1 may be used as often as desired to clean and refresh your  leather bags and small leather goods.

 

We recommend the Chamberlin's Leather Milk:Water Protectant No.3 if you plan on taking your bags in inclement weather. If your work or lifestyle has you in water, mud, or snow then our Water Protectant No. 3 can help you with your leathers. This is a heavier, deeper oil leather conditioner and leather protector that will ward-off the elements and nourish your leather items.
